(formerly known as the Community Scholarship Foundation of La Cañada Flintridge, Inc.)

“Inspiring and Encouraging Achievement since 1964”

We are an Award-Winning All-Volunteer Organization. For sixty years, we have proudly awarded over $1,000,000 in scholarships to local students.

The Foothills Community Scholarship Foundation of La Cañada Flintridge is a volunteer organization that annually awards scholarships to graduating high school students with a minimum 3.0 GPA who aspire to attend universities, junior colleges, trade schools, vocational colleges, and learning institutions in the La Cañada Flintridge and La Crescenta Foothills Community with a family income limit of $250,000. This year, we are expanding our scholarship recipient base to include home-schooled students who live in the attendance area of La Cañada High School and Crescenta Valley High School.

FCSF will begin accepting online scholarship applications on February 15, 2024.

mission

FCSF’s unique mission is in the type of students we seek to award scholarships to.  We believe success is not measured simply by GPA. Successful people work hard, persevere, and succeed through determination and willpower. Any student with a 3.0 GPA is encouraged to apply.

What Makes FCSF Unique?

Believing there is an abundance of scholarships awarded to the top GPA students, FCSF seeks to identify, support, and encourage higher education for students who have a high level of integrity, are committed, are self-motivated, and are confident yet humble, and who persevere even in adversity. Our goal is to encourage our recipients to seek the education that best suits their potential after receiving an FCSF Scholarship.

Dedicated AWARD WINNING volunteers

Our dedicated volunteers are passionate about getting the word out about the particular type of scholarship we offer. Every child deserves consideration for the opportunity to receive a scholarship. Our goal is to find that student who might be missed or otherwise not receive a scholarship amongst the elite students of the area. Through volunteer liaisons, we reach out to the local school counselors and explain how this partnership is crucial for us to reach those who might not otherwise apply.
