The Community Scholarship Foundation of La Cañada Flintridge has established a general scholarship fund for students whose primary residence has been within the city limits of La Cañada Flintridge since January 1, 2012. Awards ranging from $250 to $3,000 per year are intended to assist as many students as possible for education beyond the secondary school level, including two-year accredited trade or technical schools at post-secondary level. Scholarships are awarded annually for one year. Recipients may re-apply for each year of college or for the second year of trade or technical school. Applicants are required to be United States citizens or permanent residents.

Applications will be reviewed by the Foundation’s Scholarship Committee. Scholarships are awarded based on the following criteria: demonstrated financial need, academic achievement, campus/community involvement, strength of personal references, and future promise. Notification will be sent to all applicants by May 11, 2013. Scholarship awards will be mailed directly to each student’s selected college by September 1, 2013.

Copies of this application form are available on the CSF website (www.csflacanada.org) and at the following schools: La Cañada High School, La Crescenta Valley High School, Flintridge Preparatory School, Flintridge Sacred Heart Academy, Hillside Academy and St. Francis High School. To be eligible for consideration, the application, all required school and financial documentation, and reference reports must be received by CSF by Wednesday, April 17, 2013. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
